JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 16, 2007) - On the second day of the ETSU Invitational presented by Citizens Bank the Stetson Hatters defeated Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, 3-0. The Hatters improve to 2-2-1 overall, while the Golden Eagles fall to 1-4-1.

In the first half, Stetson jumped out to an early 2-0 lead as Jessica Spencer scored on a cross from Bethany Kiedis during the 14^th minute, while Tessa Gavilsky passed the ball to Katie Bitetto for a goal on a corner kick from Julianne Turnbull only 10 minutes later.

Stetson continued to battle as Heather Berg found the back of the net from inside the box during the 62^nd minute.

The Hatters outshot the Golden Eagles 14-7 and earned 7 corner kicks in the victory. Stetson keeper Loretta McNamee made four saves on the day.

For Tennessee Tech Katie Morrissey led the way with two shots on the game.
