Women's soccer set to host inaugural ETSU Fall Invitational

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 13, 2007) - The ETSU women's soccer team is set to host its first ever ETSU Fall Invitational presented by Citizens Bank on September 14 and 16. The four-team event, which also includes Western Carolina, Stetson and Tennessee Tech, will be held at the new on-campus Summers Taylor Stadium.

 

"ETSU is proud to host our first ever East Tennessee State University Invitational Tournament for the fall of 2007.  We are extremely excited to be able to host this first ever tournament in our new stadium on our campus," said Buccaneer head coach Heather Henson.

 

The first matchup of the weekend will feature Stetson (1-1-1) and Western Carolina (3-2-0) beginning at 1 p.m. Following the match the Bucs (2-1-1) will take on instate foe Tennessee Tech (1-3-0).

 

Sunday's first match will feature Stetson and Tennessee Tech beginning at Noon. The Bucs will again take to the field for a 4 p.m. matchup with former SoCon rival Western Carolina.

 

Complete results from the tournament will be posted on www.ETSUBucs.com at the conclusion of each day's competition.
