JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (August 22, 2008) - The ETSU women's soccer team dropped its second and final exhibition game to Winthrop Friday night at Eagle Field in Rock Hill, S.C., 2-1.

Junior Jordan Monty (Mesquite, Texas) gave the Bucs a 1-0 lead in the first half as sophomore Kelly Brinkman (Clearwater, Fla.) earned the assist. ETSU would hold the Eagles scoreless in the first half as the Bucs enjoyed a 1-0 advantage going into intermission.

In the second half, the Bucs held the lead until late in the half when Winthrop tied the game on a Courtney Durbin goal. The Eagles took the lead a few minutes later as Kristen Lee would make the score 2-1 with her goal.

ETSU fired ten shots with five coming on goal, and had four corners. Defensively, freshman keeper Megan Masch (Virginia Beach, Va.) led the Bucs with two saves.
