JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 15, 2014) – Adding to the Bucs' incoming recruiting class, ETSU Women’s Soccer Head Coach Adam Sayers has announced the signing of in-state product Megan Horner (Talbott, Tenn.) of Morristown-Hamblen High School West.
Horner, a four-year letter-winner at Morristown-Hamblen West, scored 60 goals and dished out 33 assists during her playing career, helping the Trojans to an overall record of 62-12-1.
While at Morristown-Hamblen West, the Talbott, Tenn., native received numerous individual honors and awards, including being named First Team All-District all four years, and First Team All-Region her final three seasons.
In 2012, Horner was tabbed Region Offensive MVP, and in 2013, she was named District Midfielder of the Year. Horner served as team captain for the Trojans in both 2012 and 2013.
While at Morristown-Hamblen West, Horner was coached by Jennifer Murphy.
The daughter of Tim and Allison Horner, Megan plans to study physical therapy at ETSU. She graduated Morristown-Hamblen West with honors and distinction.
