JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 31, 2013) – Following an impressive 5-1 home-opening victory over VMI Friday night, the ETSU women’s soccer team is looking to carry that momentum into a road contest against North Carolina State Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

Five different players found the scoring column for ETSU (1-2-0) in Friday’s win, with Thomai Vardali (Koufalia, Greece), Sarah Zadrazil (St. Gilgen, Austria), Emilee Engelhaupt (Charlotte, N.C.), Jenny Pöltl (Steinberg-Dorfl, Austria) and Jasmin Dutton (Kinmel Bay, Wales) each recording goals.

  • In his first season at NC State (3-0-0), head coach Tim Santoro inherits a squad returning 19 letterwinners and nine starters from last season’s team that finished 5-14.
  • The Wolfpack will enter Sunday’s contest riding a three-game win streak after beating Navy, Longwood, and Georgia Southern to start the season.
