First Career A-Sun Player of the Week award for the sophomore
MACON, Ga. (Oct. 7, 2013) – Sophomore midfielder Sarah Zadrazil (St. Gilgen, Austria), the nation’s leader for assists per game (1.10), earned Atlantic Sun Player of the Week honors following a five-point performance over the weekend.
Zadrazil dished out her conference-leading 11th assist of the season in ETSU’s 2-0 win over Kennesaw State Sunday, Oct. 6, just two days after tallying two goals in the Bucs’ (6-5-1, 2-1-1) narrow 3-2 setback to Mercer.
Zadrazil, the reigning Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Year, has been a catalyst for ETSU’s 26th-ranked scoring offense, registering six goals and 11 assists, already eclipsing her stellar marks of four goals and 10 assists from a year ago.
In the Bucs’ first three conference games, Zadrazil has recorded three goals and five assists.
ETSU, currently sitting in a third-place tie with Jacksonville, will visit first-place Florida Gulf Coast Friday, Oct. 11.
