MURCIA, SPAIN (Feb. 5, 2015) - ETSU's Simona Koren (Graz, Austria) and Sarah Zadrazil (St. Gilgen, Austria) will join the Austria Women's National Team as the squad takes on global power Spain Tuesday, Feb. 10 in a friendly in Murcia, Spain.

"We are very proud of Sarah [Zadrazil] and Simona [Koren]," ETSU Head Coach Adam Sayers said. "It is a great honor for them to represent their country again, and also for ETSU. The game versus Spain will be a great experience for them both."

During ETSU's 2014 campaign, Koren and Zadrazil helped lead the Buccaneers to a program-record 15 wins while helping to pace an offensive attack that led NCAA Division I in scoring, averaging nearly 3.50 goals per contest.

Zadrazil, the NCAA DI active career leader for assists per game (0.77), finished last season with a nation-best 20 assists to go along with eight goals en route to earning All-SoCon First Team honors and a spot on the NSCAA All-Southeast Region Second Team.

Meanwhile, Koren ranked fourth in the Southern Conference with 12 goals. She was named SoCon Women's Soccer Player of the Week in two of the season's first three weeks.

Koren, who also recorded five assists last year, joined Zadrazil as one of seven Buccaneers to dish out four or more assists in 2014.

Both players are accustomed to playing on a global stage, as Zadrazil has earned more than eight caps for the Austria National Team, while Koren earned her first cap with the women's senior team last fall. Both Zadrazil and Koren have competed on Austria's U19 and U17 teams.

"It is always a big honor to play at such a high level, and to represent ETSU," Zadrazil said.

Koren and Zadrazil will gain valuable experience while competing against some of the world's elite talent.

"It's always a good experience. You always learn something new," Koren said.
