ETSU women’s soccer adds Horiuchi, Collins and Limprevil

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 29, 2018) – ETSU head women’s soccer coach Adam Sayers officially announced three of his nine signees to the 2019 class Thursday afternoon, all three of which are in-state players from Tennessee.

The ETSU women’s soccer program added one midfielder, Momoko Horiuchi (Paris), and a pair of defenders in Hayden Collins (Arrington) and Taylor Limprevil (Spring Hill), as part of this year’s signing class.

“We are thrilled with the signings of Hayden, Momoko and Taylor,” Sayers said. “They will each strengthen our squad and provide tactical options and depth on defense and in the midfield. We are looking forward to their arrival and the positive impact they will make on and off the field.”

Momoko Horiuchi — MF — Paris, Tenn.

Anticipated Major: Pediatric Physical Therapy

Why I chose ETSU: “I was quickly attracted to ETSU based on both its academic reputation, as well as the strong soccer program. Also, I simply love the atmosphere of the college and being surrounded by beautiful mountains. I strongly believe that ETSU will help me find opportunities for academic and personal growth, and ultimately help prepare me for life after college.”

Hayden Collins — D — Arrington, Tenn.

Anticipated Major: Sport Management

Why I chose ETSU: “I chose ETSU because I want to play for a competitive D-I team. I feel that ETSU offers me the opportunity to become a better athlete while challenging me academically. I love the ETSU campus and the small town atmosphere of Johnson City.”

Taylor Limprevil — D — Spring Hill, Tenn.

Anticipated Major: Pre-Medicine and Biomedical Science

Why I chose ETSU: “I am very happy today. I feel lucky for the opportunity to play soccer at the next level and the chance to learn from outstanding coaches. Just as important, I get to attend great school with the right program and a great learning environment. I look forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”
