Jessica Giuggioli enters her second season as an asssistant to the ETSU tennis coaching staff.
Prior to ETSU, Giuggioli was a tennis standout at both the University of Missouri and University of Kentucky. Giuggioli achieved a No. 17 ITA Division I Central Region ranking in January of 2009, and was also ranked No. 8 in doubles. In both the 2008 and '09 seasons, she was named to the Academic All-Big XII Second Team, while also being named to the Big XII Commissioner's Honor Roll from 2008-10.
Before playing for the Tigers, Giuggioli started her collegiate career at the University of Kentucky, and was named All-SEC Second Team during the team's Sweet 16 run in 2006. She performed well academically for the Wildcats as well, being named to Kentucky's Academic Honor Roll for the 2006-07 season.
Giuggioli's coaching experience extends from being a tennis instructor for Sport Village Bertolla in San Mauro Torinese, Italy, where she organized and coordinated specific drills to enhance player technique and development. Giuggioli also instructed tennis at Mizzou's Green Tennis Center, developing and conducting live ball drills for local area high school players while helping to explain different match-situation strategies.
Giuggioli graduated from the University of Missouri in May of 2010 with a B.S. in Spanish.
