Antonia Kolovou enters her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for ETSU in 2013. As a senior ETSU student-athlete during the 2012-13 season, Kovolou was 15-4 overall in singles play, playing primarily in the No. 1 position. The veteran also teamed with Salma Dahbi to go 5-2 in doubles action. This outstanding senior season garnered Kolovou first-team All-Atlantic Sun honors.

"It's great to see that Antonia wants to be a college coach," said ETSU assistant coach Travis Sandlant. "She is a team player and has a great knowledge of the game. She is a leader and I know the current players will look up to her. I'm excited to have her still a part of the team."

Prior to coming to ETSU as a student-athlete, Kolovou was a first-team All-Southland Conference selection at Stephen F. Austin. She played No. 3-6 singles, going 13-0 at the No. 5 spot, and 5-1 (.833) at six singles. Additionally, she posted a near flawless 23-3 (.885) singles record and was 7-2 (.778) in doubles play, including a 5-2 mark at No. 3 doubles. The native Greek was named SLC Player of the Week (Feb. 21) for her efforts in helping SFA defeat Mississippi State.

Preceding her time at SFA, Kolovou guided Tyler Junior College to back-to-back NJCAA National Championships and was a two-time first-team NJCAA All-America selection. She teamed with Texas A&M letterwinner, Sun Wen, to take the 2010 NJCAA doubles title and the duo finished second in the country in 2011. During her sophomore season, Kolovou ranked as high as No. 3 in the nation in singles, and No. 1 in doubles play.

Before heading to TJC, Kolovou was one of the top players in Greece and was a three-time quarterfinalist at Greece's ITF Corfu Open. Additionally, as a junior player, she teamed with current top-200 WTA professional Eirini Georgatou to represent Greece in the 2007 European Junior Championships.

Kolovou majored in kinesiology at ETSU was born on Jan. 19, 1990 to Spiros and Galini Kolovou.
