JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 23, 2006) - The ETSU women's tennis team continued their winning ways, defeating Mercer, 7-0. The Lady Bucs improve to 14-3 on the season, while Mercer falls to 5-8.

In singles action the Lady Bucs once again dominated as Masha Ilina defeated Teresina Pazsoldan, 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 1 position, while Olya Batsula defeated Irys Citko, 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 2 position. In No. 3 singles, Elena Volobueva defeated Lauriane
"We played good today. At the No. 3 and No. 6 positions, they (Mercer) played very tough and we are real glad to come out with victories in those positions. Hopefully some of the things we learned today we can apply so we can play better tomorrow," said head coach Steve Brooks.
The ETSU women's tennis team's next match will be tomorrow, March 24, against Gardner-Webb. The match will start at 2:30 p.m.
