In No. 1 singles, Masha Ilina was defeated by Marielle Gruenig, 6-0, 7-6 (5) while Olya Batsula was defeated by Chelsea Glynn, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in No. 2 singles. Senior Sandie Knight defeated Andrea Pintar, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. Tara Byrne was defeated in No. 4 singles by Charlotte Scatliffe, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. "It was just a bad, bad day. We played ok, but the wind was just real bad. We had an opportunity but Sylwia and Masha barely lost in their second sets, then we had to win with Tara, Olya, and Sandie and they all went to three sets, Sandie won hers but Olya and Tar both lost 6-4 in their third sets, so that means we lost," said head coach Steve Brooks.
