ETSU Defeats Charleston In Women's Tennis

Johnson City, Tenn. - The women's tennis team (3-3, 1-0 Southern Conference ) opened its Conference slate by defeating the College of Charleston 5-1 in Charleston, S.C.

"It is nice to start the conference season with a win," said ETSU Head Coach Tom Russ. "I thought the ladies really fought hard and playe well. We still have some areas where we need to improve."

The Bucs will return to action tomorrow at 2 p.m. when they face Charleston Southern. ETSU has rescheduled its match versus Winthrop for Wednesday, March 15. That match was originally scheduled for March 11 but was rained out.
