JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - The women's tennis team defeated West Virginia, 5-3, in Huntington, W.V.

ETSU (2-1) won four of the six singles matches and split the two doubles contests with the Mountaineers. The third doubles match was not played because the outcome of the match had already been decided.

"I thought our team played extremely hard," Russ said. "We still have a lot of tennis to play to get to where we want to be."

The Bucs will return to action on Friday, February 25 at Old Dominion.
