Paty Vega Wins Louisville Invitational Crown

Paty Vega Claims Tournament Title JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.-- East Tennessee State's Paty Vega captured the A1 Singles crown at the University of Louisville Invitational, on Sunday Oct. 22.

Vega squared off with Wisconsin's April Gabler in Sunday's three-set title match, by winning the opening set 6-3. After losing the second set 4-6, she rebounded to defeat Gabler, 7-5 in the final stanza.

In other action, Vega and teammate Cara Prupas fell in the championship of the B flight doubles draw to Xavier's Beth Abraham and Maggie Nafziger 8-6.
