Women's tennis earns No. 4 seed for SoCon Tournament

                JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 18, 2005) - With Southern Conference regular season women's tennis action completed, the East Tennessee State University women's tennis team has finished tied for second with an 8-2 record in the SoCon and an 18-6 overall record. As a result they have earned the No. 4 slot in the SoCon Championship Tournament, which begins on Thursday, April 21 in Charleston, S.C.

            "I'm really happy with the progress of my team over the last four years," stated Head Coach Steve Brooks. "As a team we've gone from last to tied for second in the SoCon and I'm proud of the team's accomplishments."

          As the No. 4 seed, the Bucs have earned a bye and will play their first match on Friday, April 22 at 10:00 a.m. against fifth seeded UNC Greensboro.
