Brooks and Lady Bucs set to host annual Snow Volley Tennis Tournament

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Dec. 11, 2009) - ETSU women's tennis head coach Steve Brooks and the Lady Bucs tennis team announced Friday that anyone interested in playing in the annual Snow Volley Tennis Tournament January 5-10 are encouraged to sign up now.


            Deadline for the sign ups are December 30, with draws being released and posted two days later on January 1st.


            Entrants who sign up will do so as an individual and then be selected through a random drawing for their teams, according to their ability level. Squads will then be divided into six teams (three men's and three women's squads), out of that blind draw.


            Each team will get to compete in three matches (eight game pro set match), with the first two rounds beginning on the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th and the third matches being played on the 9th or 10th.


            All players that sign up for the event will receive a free tournament t-shirt, in addition to all winning teams receiving a gift from the ETSU women's tennis team.


            The cost for each individual is $35 dollars. Also individuals or business are encouraged to participate through sponsorship. Below is a list of possible sponsorship opportunities.
