Women's tennis set to host Belmont and Lipscomb

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Mar. 10, 2011) - Following victories against Jacksonville and Florida Atlantic to close out a long road swing, the ETSU women's tennis team returns home to take on Belmont and Lipscomb, Friday and Saturday.
 
The Bucs will play Belmont on Friday at 2:30 p.m. inside the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center before squaring off with Lipscomb on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Buddy Hartsell Tennis Center.
 
After the two straight victories, ETSU now sits 4-5 (1-1 A-Sun) overall heading into the weekend.
 
Andra Voinea (Brasov, Romania) leads the Bucs in singles play with a 6-2 overall record, including a perfect 2-0 mark in A-Sun play. Ramirez has also recorded three straight singles victories.
 
Meanwhile, Belmont enters the weekend with a 5-6 (1-1 A-Sun) record after splitting matches with Mercer and Kennesaw State over the weekend. Lindsay Bennett and Natalia Nunes lead the Bruins with six singles wins apiece during dual play.

Lipscomb heads into the weekend with a 2-7 (1-1 A-Sun) record as they also split matches against Mercer and Kennesaw State last weekend. Alyssa Bellini leads the Bisons with four singles wins on the season.
