NCAA releases match times for tennis regionals
Thursday, May 05, 2011 JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 5, 2011) - Times for the first and second round matches of the NCAA Men's and Women's Tennis Tournaments were released Thursday by the NCAA.
The No. 55-ranked ETSU men's tennis team will open tournament play against No. 30 Notre Dame on Friday, May 13 at 10 a.m. All matches of the regional will take place in Columbus, Ohio at the Stickney Tennis Center.
Following the matchup between the Bucs and Fighting Irish, host and No. 4 overall seeded Ohio State will take on Ball State at 1 p.m. on Friday. The winner of the two first round matches will face each other in the second round on Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Lady Bucs will also play on Friday as they take on host and No. 4 overall seeded North Carolina at 1 p.m. Prior to the match between the Lady Bucs and Tarheels will be Maryland taking on Washington at 10 a.m. The winner of the two first round matches will face each other in the second round on Saturday at 11 a.m. All matches will take place at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center on the UNC campus.
Tickets for the Chapel Hill Regional events are $5 for the general public and $3 for students. Gates will open one hour prior to play on both Friday and Saturday.
