JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 19, 2014) - Bringing a close to a four-match road swing, the ETSU women's tennis team will host 2013 Big South Champion Winthrop Thursday, Feb. 20 at 10:00 a.m.

The Buccaneers (3-5) suffered a 4-0 loss at No. 38 Kentucky Wednesday, Feb. 12; however, ETSU notched a commanding 6-1 win at Eastern Kentucky one day prior.

In ETSU's win over EKU, the Bucs won all but one of the day's singles matches, with Lyn Yee Choo, Anna Gerbasi, Salma Dahbi, Sophia Espana, and Jessica Brumit finding the win column.

Gerbasi and Dahbi are pacing ETSU in singles play this season, each winning five of their first six matches.

Dahbi's loss versus Kentucky snapped her team-best five-match win streak.

WINTHROP - Thursday, Feb. 20 at 10:00 a.m.

Due to a pair of match cancellations, the Eagles (0-1) have played just a single match this season, falling, 5-2, to College of Charleston.

The Eagles will take on Charlotte Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 2:00 p.m., before travelling to Johnson City.

Last season, Winthrop went 18-10, including a 9-0 mark in Big South play, en route to winning the Big South Championship and clinching a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
