SKILLMAN, N.J. (Sept. 15, 2013) – After going unbeaten in Atlantic Sun play as freshmen last season, sophomores Anna Gerbasi (Caracas, Venezuela) and Lyn Yee Choo (Kuching, Malaysia) have earned the No. 51 national ranking in the ITA Women’s Preseason Doubles Rankings.

The duo’s preseason ranking is the highest of any doubles team in ETSU Women’s Tennis history.

“To have the highest ranking of any doubles team at ETSU after only one year is great,” ETSU head coach Travis Sandlant said. “They had some huge wins last year and deserve this preseason ranking.”

Gerbasi and Choo teamed up to win 24 matches last season, including several wins over nationally-ranked teams. The duo went unbeaten during league play en route to leading ETSU to its fourth regular season conference title in the past five seasons.

“If they continue to play solid, they can only improve on it,” Sandlant said.
