ETSU vs. Mercer moved to Bristol Racquet Club

BRISTOL, Tenn. (March 28, 2015) - The ETSU women's tennis team will look to extend its three-match win streak Sunday as the Bucs host Southern Conference opponent Mercer at 9:00 a.m., at the Bristol Racquet & Fitness Club in Bristol, Tenn.

GETTING UP TO SPEED

The Buccaneers (9-3, 2-0 SoCon) opened league play last weekend with a pair of road victories, defeating Wofford, 7-0, and Western Carolina, 6-1.

Lyn Yee Choo (Kuching, Malaysia), the reigning SoCon Women's Tennis Player of the Week, has won six consecutive singles matches. Choo is 11-1 in singles play this season, with her lone loss coming to No. 74 Mississippi State.

Teammates Ioanna Markesini (Athens, Greece) and Ana Gerbasi (Caracas, Venezuela) are riding four-match and three-match singles win streaks, respectively.

The Mercer Bears (4-12, 0-2 SoCon) will enter Sunday's matchup in the midst of a six-match losing streak. Mercer suffered setbacks in its first two Southern Conference contests, falling to Wofford and Western Carolina by 4-3 margins.

ETSU's home matches will be played at the Buddy Hartsell Courts at the Dave Mullins Tennis Complex on the campus of ETSU. In the event of inclement weather, matches could be moved indoors to the Bristol Racquet & Fitness Club in Bristol, Tenn.
