2006-07: As a junior, Batsula garnered a 15-19 overall record while battling both injury and some of the nation’s top opponents…went 9-1 in conference play…was named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week in February…was named to the Atlantic Sun All-Conference Second Team…was paired with Masha Ilina in doubles and compiled a 15-2 record, the duo earned a No. 15 regional ranking and became the first Lady Bucs to ever earn a regional ranking…was an ITA Scholar Athlete…named to the A-Sun All Academic Team…was named to the Buccaneer Honor Roll…earned a ranking of 7th in career singles wins.

2005-06: During her sophomore campaign, Batsula finished the season with a 26-10 record in singles, which places her tied for seventh on the single season wins list…went 6-0 in conference play…was named to the All-Conference first team…was an ITA scholar athlete…put together a 6-6 singles record in fall tournament action...was paired with Tara Byrne in doubles and together the duo went 28-10 in play, which placed Batsula in second on the single season wins list.

Spring 2005: Joined the team for the spring of 2005 with over eight years of competitive playing experience...was an All SoCon selection... was a member of the spring honor roll... Batsula had one of the most successful freshman seasons in ETSU history amassing a 21-4 record...accumulated an 18-5 record in doubles when paired with Gemma Halim, and a 2-0 record when paired with Elena Volobueva...ranked eleventh on the single season singles record at ETSU and is ranked sixteenth in single season doubles.

Prep: Ranked third in the country of Belarus...won the Belarus under 18 National Championship in 2004...was runner-up in the women’s National Championships of Belarus in 2001 and in 2002...trained at the National Olympic Center of Tennis in Belarus.

Personal: Born on September 13, 1987 ... majoring in sport management... Batsula comes from a very athletic family; her father, Oleg Batsula, was the European Champion in his weight class of Greco Roman wrestling in 1986 and her mother, Irina Borisova, played professional field hockey for the First League of the U.S.S.R. ... full name is Volha Batsula.
