Decathalon Record Sinks at Sea Ray Relay's

Johnson City, Tenn. -- East Tennessee State's Andrew Whitson set the school mark in the decathalon by posting 6,539 points in the multi-event. The total earned him ninth place as he narrowly missed a provisional qualifying total for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

The record was set in the 35th annual Sea Ray Relay's at the Tom Black Track at the University of Tennessee.
