Track & Field Competes in Pepsi/Walker Invitational

Johnson City, Tenn. -- East Tennessee State junior Roseline Addo highlighted todays events with a school record in the 400 meters at the Pepsi/David Walker Invitational Track & Field Meet held in ETSUs Memorial Center.

Addo broke her own indoor record with a 55.87 and finished fourth to advance to the final held at 8:05 p.m. tomorrow. Jennifer Howard finished 15th with a 58.01 in the 400 meters. In the mens 400, senior Evan Hawkins finished 12th with a 48.94.

Hawkins won his heat in the 200 meters with a 21.97 but finished 19th overall. Freshman Santana Griffin also won his heat with a time of 22.67.

Senior Lauren Campbell finished the womens 800 meters in 2:17.34, just .29 seconds away from qualifying for the final.

Other top finishers for the Bucs: Eliot Barton (12th) in the triple jump with a 4401.25; Addo (18th) in the 200 meters with a 25:31; Josh Artau (12th) in the weight throw with a 4602.

The Pepsi/Walker Invitational will conclude tomorrow, January 27, with many exciting finals.
