Clark, Howard Compete At Sea Ray Relays

Johnson City, Tenn. (April 14, 2002) - East Tennessee State had a pair of its track and field student-athletes compete yesterday at the Sea Ray Relays held at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Jennifer Howard competed in the 400-meter dash on the women's side and Charvin Clark in the long jump on the men's side. Howard finished third in her heat, turning in a season-best time of 56.20, which was good for 21st in a field of 36. Clark jumped 23-07.25 in his only effort outdoors so far this season, finishing ninth. His mark is the best in the Southern Conference so far this season. ETSU's track teams will be in action next weekend when they host the Southern Conference Outdoor Championships at the Liberty Bell Complex starting on Thursday, April 11.
