Four compete at mideast regionals

Baton Rouge, LA (May 29, 2004) - Four ETSU athletes traveled to the mideast regional outdoor track and field meet this weekend to compete for a spot in the NCAA nationals. Kristin Truman (Johnson City, Tenn.) competed in the triple jump event posting a 39"-11.50' mark, her second-best career jump. Also competing in the field events category was freshman Anna Marie Riccardi (Canfield, Ohio) who was unable to score during the event. A junior competitor in the women's 800 meter run, Kim Simmons (Knoxville, Tenn.) posted a 2:12.95 time for the meet, while rounding out the ETSU athletes was sophomore James Rainer (Alcoa, Tenn.) who competing in the men's 100 meter dash posted a 10.48 mark for the meet.
