Track and Field Competes at Rod McCravy Memorial Yewer Places Fourth in Mile

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 2, 2004) - In addition to participating in the Appalachian Invitational, East Tennessee State had three athletes compete at the Rod McCravy Memorial indoor track and field meet hosted by the University of Kentucky. Junior Brad Yewer (Newbury, England) placed fourth in the mile with a time of 4:11.54. Yewer also competed in the 800 meters recording a time of 1:57.01. Buccaneer senior David Haefner (Hamburg, N.Y.) finished the 3000 meters with a time of 8:38.58. In field events for the Bucs, senior Jeremy Snoderly (Knoxville, Tenn.), placed seventh in the high jump with a mark of 1.94m. Up next on the Buccaneers schedule is the Virginia Tech Challenge which will take place in Blacksburg, Va. from Feb. 13 thru 14.
