MACON, Ga. (April 21, 2010) - Last weekend at the Charlotte Invitational, junior thrower Matt Baum (Frederick, Md.) set a new school record in the javelin, while senior sprinter Duronal Monal (Belle Glade, Fla.) posted a personal best in the 100m, lifting the Buccaneer athletes to a sweep in the Atlantic Sun Athlete of the Week awards on Wednesday afternoon.
Baum, who was the top collegiate competitor to place in the javelin over the weekend, etched his name into Buccaneer record books after letting one soar 190-10 (58.17m) - giving him the top spot in the conference standings by over 12 feet. Baum's mark beat Josh Artau's nine-year-old mark which was 190-03 (58.00m).

This marks the first time Baum has received the weekly honor, while it's the second of the season for Monal.
ETSU returns to action this weekend when the Bucs compete at the USC Upstate Invite on Friday and Saturday.
