SPARTANBURG, S.C. (April 6, 2017) – On Thursday the Southern Conference announced the ETSU Track & Field athlete Katrina Seymour (New Providence, Bahamas) has been named Track Athlete of the Week as voted on by the league’s coaches.
Last weekend at the 2017 Pepsi Florida Relays, Seymour continued her success in 400m hurdles, breaking the school record with a time of 58.59 to finish sixth out of 50 runners. It is the second time Seymour has broken the ETSU 400mH school record, doing so at the Charlotte 49’er Classic on March 17-18.
This outdoor season Seymour has the fastest time in the SoCon in the 100m dash and 400mH. The New Providence, Bahamas native ranks 12 in the NCAA East Region and 16th overall in the NCAA in the 400mH.
