JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 25, 2017) – ETSU women’s triathlon head coach Janine Pleasant announced Tuesday that the Buccaneers have signed four athletes to comprise the team’s 2017-18 recruiting class.
The quartet includes Morgan James (Clovis, Calif.), Hope Zimmerman (Crown Point, Ind.), Annika Cotner (Muskegon, Mich), Carly Brewington (Coral Springs, Fla.). This group marks the second ever signing class for the new program, which launched during the 2016-17 competitive season. Pleasant said she was pleased to add these athletes to the team’s returning competitors.
“I am very excited about the four athletes we have coming in this fall,” Pleasant said. “They bring a wealth of experience and speed to our team, and they are exactly what we need as we enter our second season of competition. As collegiate triathlon continues to grow in exposure, we should continue to see more improvement in the attention our program garners and that will show in our recruiting efforts.”
