JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 9, 2018) -- College triathlon won’t stage its championship season until the fall. But that doesn’t mean members of ETSU’s triathlon team aren’t competing during the off-season.
Morgan James (Clovis, Calif.) and Annika Cotner (Muskegon, Mich.) were the top two females in the Bunny Hop 5K and Kid's Dash, held March 31 in Johnson City.
James covered the course in 21:28, placing her atop the Female division and 5th-best in the overall standings.
Cotner posted a time of 21:48, making her 2nd among all females, giving her the win in the Female 15-19 division, and putting her 12th overall.
“There were some issues with the course, but our team performed extremely well,” said ETSU head coach Janine Pleasant. “The Bunny Hop was a practice run for them leading up to the TriDeltathon triathlon next weekend.”
The TriDeltathon begins at 8:30 am on Sunday, April 15 in Knoxville, Tenn.
