Lauren Aksionoff joined ETSU Athletics in August 2020 as the Associate Athletic Director for Athletics Academic Services and Senior Woman Administrator (SWA). Lauren Aksionoff was promoted to Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director in 2022.
Prior to joining the ETSU staff, Aksionoff served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Services at Stony Brook University. While working at Stony Brook, she oversaw the daily academic operations of the Athletics Academic Services Center including all Division I sport programs as it pertains to their NCAA eligibility and progress towards graduation. She also worked closely in developing and evaluating the Athletics Summer Bridge and Life Skills program. Aksionoff was the Lead Athletic Academic Advisor to numerous programs during her tenure at Stony Brook including football, men’s basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball, men’s and women‘s tennis, women’s lacrosse, and men’s and women’s track and cross country. Aksionoff was a member of the leadership team and assisted with implementation of procedures and policies to best support the students and provide holistic development for the student-athletes.
Aksionoff earned her master’s degree from Stony Brook University and her undergraduate degree from American University. Aksionoff, a native of Long Island, NY, is married to Bryan and they have a daughter, Everly.
