Alyssa Sweeney enters her second year with the ETSU women's basketball program and her first as the Director of Basketball Operations. 

The Bristow, Va. native spent three seasons at Hampton University, graduating early with honors while also being selected as a member of the Big South All-Academic Team. Sweeney played in 54 games over the course of her three years in Hampton, Va. As a freshman, Sweeney broke out with a career-high 24 points against Mid-Atl. Christian. Sweeney also knocked down 20 points on 8-12 shooting against Longwood in 2019, doing so in just 24 minutes of action.

Prior to her time at Hampton, Sweeney was a four-year varsity member at Stonewall Jackson High School. Helping her team to two district championships, Sweeney was a First Team All-Conference performer while accruing Second Team All-Region accolades, all while being recognized as the top three-point shooter in the DMV area coming out of high school.
