Athletic Training - Tour of the Facility

The Jerry Robertson Athletic Medicine Center at East Tennessee State University has earned a reputation as one of the finest of its kind in the Southeast. Named after long-time ETSU head athletic trainer Jerry Robertson, the facility is located in the southwest corner of the Memorial Center (Mini-Dome). The original athletic training room was renovated and expanded to 7,500 square-feet in 2002 and is equipped with the latest technology and rehabilitation equipment including on-site X-ray, Hydroworx aquatic systems, bracing, and casting.

A unique aspect of the ETSU athletic training facilities is that they also include the BucSports Athletic Medicine Center. Working in conjunction with the athletic training staff, BucSports offers individuals of all ages a comprehensive program specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of recreational/wellness, industrial/corporate, geriatrics, and sport-related injuries.

The facility enables physicians, athletic training, and physical therapy staff to perform full all prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and research activities on site and for the benefit of people across the region. The Jerry Robertson Athletic Medicine Center combined with BucSports is the regional leader in Sports Medicine, complementing the Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University.
