JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 11, 2006) - The East Tennessee State baseball team showcased their talent for scouts from several major league organizations at the team's annual Scout Day, Monday afternoon from Cardinal Park in Johnson City, Tenn.

First, each Buccaneer player ran a 60-yard dash for the scouts in attendance. Next, outfielders threw from right field to third base and to home and infielders took pre-game infield practice. All hitters then took batting practice followed by an  inter-squad scrimmage.

Head coach Tony Skole was pleased with both his team's performance and the scout's turnout.  "Scout day is a fun day for our kids. It gives them a great opportunity to display their tools for Major League Baseball.  We've been very fortunate in developing players to get to the next level, and I though our players handled themselves very well today."
