(Feb. 9, 2007) - The Citadel Bulldogs scored seven runs in a two inning span Friday night, sending the Baseball Bucs to 13-6 season opening loss from Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.

After the Bucs (0-1) tied it in the fourth on three doubles from junior Anthony Russell (Waldorf, Md.), sophomore Ben Allen (Kingsport, Tenn.) and senior John Weddle (Knoxville, Tenn.), Langston ran into trouble again in the bottom half.
Right fielder Sonny Meade led off the frame with a single to right field, and first baseman Zach Brown followed with a homer over the right field wall, reclaiming the Bulldogs' two run advantage. Later in the inning, Shortstop Kyle Jordan converted Bryan Altman's triple into another Citadel run with a double down the left field line for a 5-2 lead.
The Bulldogs (1-0) broke the game open in the fifth, scoring four runs, three unearned, for 9-2 advantage. Swauger started the rally with a one out double to center field, coming home on Meade's single. A two out error by freshman shortstop Justin Tramble (
