JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 13, 2015) – The ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics held a special graduation ceremony for the Buccaneer baseball team on Wednesday afternoon inside the MSHA Athletic Center.

With family, friends, teammates and support staff in attendance, four seniors and ETSU’s graduate assistant for athletic training received their degrees from ETSU President Dr. Brian Noland inside the Ward Room.

Seniors Jimmy Nesselt (Accounting and Finance), Jordan Sanford (Management), Zach Thompson (Biology), Daniel Tucker (Health Sciences) and athletic trainer Eric Schwab (Sport Management) all received their diplomas on Wednesday.

"Today was a great day. There is not a better feeling, as a coach, than to see your players receive their degrees,” said ETSU baseball head coach Tony Skole. “This is a special group of seniors who have been great to coach. I truly value my relationship with each of them.

"I want to thank our entire athletic department as they do a tremendous job supporting our athletes with their academics."

The seniors missed Saturday’s scheduled graduation ceremony due to ETSU being on the road playing at The Citadel last weekend.

The Bucs wrap up regular season play this weekend when ETSU hosts Wofford in a three-game series starting Friday night (6pm) at Thomas Stadium.
