JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 4, 2021) – The East Tennessee State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has officially announced its plans for capacities at sporting events to begin the 2021 spring seasons.
In conjunction with the capacity announced at William B. Greene, Jr. Stadium earlier this week, all outdoor sporting venues will hold 30% capacity. The outdoor capacity limits include: Betty Basler Field (Softball), Dave Mullin’s Tennis Complex (Men’s/Women’s Tennis), Greene Stadium (Football), Summers-Taylor Stadium (Men’s/Women’s Soccer) and Thomas Stadium (Baseball).
In addition, the Bucs will be hosting volleyball matches inside Brooks Gym, at which the capacity will begin the season at 10% to follow the same capacity set forth for ETSU Women’s Basketball games.
For the upcoming Buccaneer Track & Field Invitational on Friday, Feb. 5 – Saturday, Feb. 6, there will be no access to fans inside the Mini Dome for the duration of the event.
ETSU Athletics requires that its patrons adhere to CDC guidelines and COVID-19 recommendations. Face coverings are required at all sporting events and we ask that all fans practice social distancing. If you have or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 as outlined by the CDC, please do not enter our facilities.
