Summers-Taylor Stadium

Summers-Taylor Stadium

Located on the west side of the University campus is the home field of the Bucs, Summers-Taylor Stadium. The stadium, which was opened in 2008, was made possible by the considerable contribution made by the Summers family. The Summers' daughter Lena Summers was a member of the ETSU women's soccer team from 1998-2002.

Summers-Taylor Stadium's west side houses permanent stands that hold 1,000 fans, with an open area burn placed on the east side of the field. The complex is equipped with a press box, hospitality suites and an electronic scoreboard/message center. The press box houses both the scoreboard operating system and the public address system, as well as room to comfortably accomodate more than 10 members of the media.

The facility includes a Bermuda style natural-grass playing field equipped with a state-of-the-art drainage system capable of removing up to six inches of water within a 24-hour period, as well as overhead lighting for night games. The north side of the stadium features concession stand and restrooms. Two practice fields are located behind the grandstand.

The stadium's single-game attendance record was set on Oct. 24, 2011, as the Bucs played ACC opponent Clemson to a 1-1 draw.
