Former Bucs Excel in Arena Football Leagues

Former ETSU All-Southern Conference defensive back, Denario Smalls, is playing for the Macon Knights of AFL2. He has recorded four interceptions and made 23 tackles in five games. In his first professional contest, Smalls returned an interception 21 yards for a touchdown as time expired in the second quarter of a 45-36 loss to the Carolina Rhinos, on May 11. Macon is currently 6-4 and in second place in the American Southeast Division. Former ETSU defensive lineman Curtis Eason, is currently playing for the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League. Eason has recorded 28 tackles, six sacks, and five tackles for loss so far this season. The Predators are 5-3 and in third place in the National Southern Division. Former ETSU All-Southern Conference offensive lineman, Jim Beverly, is the second string center for the Barcelona Dragons of the World Football League. The Dragons are currently 7-1 and have qualified for the World Bowl.
