The ETSU Buccaneer Gridiron Club is an organization established to provide grass roots support for East Tennessee State University football and to create positive relationships between the East Tennessee State University football program and the surrounding communities of upper East TN - Southwest VA regions.

Hey Die Hard ETSU Fans.

The ETSU Gridiron Club invites all members to join us for a pregame tailgate party Sat Oct. 27th before the Georgia Southern game. We will be serving hot chili to warm you up and get you ready to cheer on the Bucs as they face Georgia Southern. Food will be ready around 4:00 pm so come on down to the lower parking lot on the West side of the Dome for food and fun.

ETSU Gridiron Club will be holding it's quarterly membership meeting on November 30th. Coach Hamilton will be speaking to the membership and 2001 Gridiron Club President Bobby Cox will give a 2001 year in review report. We will also be electing 2002 officers at the meeting and open nominations will be taken from the attending membership. If you have ever wanted to serve on the Board or have someone you would like to see nominated, please plan on attending and making your voice heard. The ETSU Buc Gridiron Club was formed to give financial and moral support to the ETSU football players, coaches, and staff. Our membership grew in 2000 to roughly 200 members and we were able through membership funds and several fundraising activities, to help fund some of the projects that Coach Hamilton wanted done. Below is a list of just a few of the things we were able to accomplish with your help:

* Sponsor Coach Hamilton's weekly TV show

*Obtain use of a billboard below the university for football

*Help feed our players before some of the games

*Purchase a sprinkler system for the practice fields

*Help purchase new carpet for the locker room

*Held a spring football picnic before the spring Blue & Gold game

*Organized pregame tailgate parties for all games

*Distriubuted ETSU literature and schedules at the Appalachian Fair

But we are not stopping there. 2001 promises to be a very exciting year for Buc football and the Gridiron Club plans to be right there in the middle of the excitement. Come on out to the planning workshop on Sat Jan. 13th and let's get ready to follow our ETSU Bucs football team all the way to the playoffs.

Membership is just $25.00, and for that membership you will receive a one of a kind Gridiron "Focused On Football" t-shirt, updates on upcoming events, open invitation to pregame and postgame tailgate parties, and the pride in knowing your support will go directly to a football program that promises to be one of the premier programs in the Southern Conference.
