JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 3, 2014) – Having quietly spent the last year taking deposits on football season tickets for the 2015 season, the ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics officially announced Wednesday that tickets are now open to the public for purchase.

With 365 days left until kickoff against Kennesaw State on Sept. 3, 2015, ETSU Senior Associate Athletic Director/COO Scott Carter said the drive has begun to sell out Kermit Tipton Stadium.

“We have been accepting seat deposits quietly over the last several months as we’ve built up to the public sale which begins today,” Carter said. “Today marks not only the one-year until kickoff, but the beginning of our efforts to sell every available seat at Kermit Tipton Stadium.”

Plans are to play both the 2015 and 2016 seasons at Kermit Tipton Stadium while the team’s new on-campus facility is completed. There will be three seating options for fans, with some of those seats encompassing both the cost of a ticket and a donation to the athletic department, while other sections of the stadium will have tickets available for purchase without the requirement of a donation.

The ticketing options will include gold level seating for $400 each ($250 donation plus $150 ticket), silver level seating for $250 each ($100 donation plus $150 per seat), and bronze level seating for $100 each (no donation, simply a $100 per seat ticket cost).

Similar to the process for reseating Freedom Hall this year for men’s basketball season tickets, fans will have the opportunity to select their preferred section at Kermit Tipton Stadium. ETSU Athletics will then announce a date in the coming months to begin a “seat selection draft.”

The process will utilize a priority points system and rank donors according to their historical and cumulative giving to ETSU athletics. All season ticket holders will have the opportunity to personally select or block their seats based on donor rank. Fans wishing to improve their rank for seat selection may do so by making donations to the athletic department prior to the draft. Current donors and season ticket holders will receive a more detailed mailing with order forms and a seating map in the coming days.
