BRISTOL, Tenn. (Sept. 29, 2014) – Following a successful Game Time 101 event and the program’s first public scrimmage this past Saturday, the ETSU football team will hit the road for a special Blue-Gold Game this Thursday, Oct. 2 at Tennessee High School’s historic Stone Castle in Bristol.
This will be the second of four scheduled Blue-Gold games this fall, with the other games set for Oct. 23 in Kingsport at Dobyns-Bennett High School’s J. Fred Johnson Stadium, and the final scrimmage scheduled for Nov.1 on campus during ETSU’s Homecoming weekend.
All Blue-Gold scrimmages are free to the public.
“We were overwhelmed by the support our players and program received this past weekend during Game Time 101,” said ETSU head coach Carl Torbush. “Having this opportunity to get on the road and play in Bristol and Kingsport over the next three weeks is something we’ve wanted to do from the beginning to show that we are East Tennessee’s team. We’re excited to get out there and play in front of our great fans throughout the region.”
