JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 25, 2014) – Several ETSU football student-athletes took part in the United Way of Washington County's annual celebrity bagging event Tuesday at Food City at 509 N. State of Franklin Road, offering their time to help raise awareness for United Way.

"It is our goal to get our players out to as many community service events as we can," Director of Football Operations Lee Morrow said. "The United Way is simply one of the best. Our players were delighted to serve."

Volunteering alongside news anchors from local television stations and other prominent community figures, the Bucs spent the afternoon not only tending to grocery lanes, but also getting to know customers as they checked out.

"It was good to get out in the community for a service event and see the excitement our fans have for ETSU Football," freshman offensive lineman Matt Brewer (Knoxville, Tenn.) said.
