JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 2, 2015) – Approximately 50 registrants were on hand Saturday inside the ETSU/MSHA Athletics Center for the 2015 Buc Football Strength & Conditioning Clinic.

The clinic, led by ETSU Football Director of Strength & Conditioning Al Johnson and ETSU Director of Football Operations Lee Morrow, featured presentations from strength & conditioning professionals as well as hands-on demonstrations with clinic participants.

Additional presenters included Dave Lawson and Mike Szerszen from University of Tennessee Football Strength & Conditioning as well as current Hammer Life Fitness National Strength & Conditioning Consultant Heather Mason.

After presentations from each of the said speakers, demonstrations illustrating practical use of strength & conditioning techniques were shown with the aid of both ETSU and UT football student-athletes and strength program staffers inside the football weight room. Closing statements were then made by Johnson who thanked all attendees and encouraged them to spread the word about the yearly clinic and to continue to support the revitalized ETSU football program.

“I thought today was real good in terms of interaction,” said Johnson. “We had some real good speakers including Dave Lawson, Heather Mason, and Lee Morrow. It was a good educational opportunity that you build on and keep moving forward. Even with a great turnout today, we hope to continue to grow this event each year.”

The clinic was also presented by Legend Fitness who has previously made generous equipment donations to the weight room.
