Bucs to wrap up spring practice inside MSHA Athletic Center

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 5, 2016) – Due to unseasonably winter-like weather expected to hit the Tri-Cities region this weekend, ETSU football head coach Carl Torbush and his staff announced on Tuesday that they have decided to move this Saturday’s MSHA Spring Game inside the MSHA Athletic Center.

“Because of the uncertainty with the weather conditions, we felt it would be best suited for our fans and players to move the spring game inside the MSHA Athletic Center,” said Coach Torbush. “We are fortunate to have such a fantastic indoor practice facility and are excited for our fans to be given the opportunity to see some of the changes that have been made inside the MSHA Athletic Center. The spring game will be Offense vs. Defense, and we have implemented a scoring system that gives both sides a chance to compete for a win.”

  • The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m., and is free for all fans
  • Fans are encouraged to arrive by noon for a unique team entrance, beginning with the Buc Walk at 12:15 p.m.
  • Plenty of parking will be available on campus; fans are encouraged to use the parking garage located across from the MSHA Athletic Center
  • Fans are asked to use the ramp on the west side to enter the MSHA Athletic Center (all fans will be seated on the west side)
  • The Appalachian Orthopaedics Youth Clinic, fueled by Chick-Fil-A, will be held following the spring game … The clinic is free for children ages 6-thru-12
  • Coach Torbush’s “Women’s Football 101” Clinic – presented by Appalachian Orthopaedics – will be held prior to the MSHA Spring Game, starting at 8 a.m. … Fans are encouraged to pre-register for this event, please click here to register online … Click here for more info.
