JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 7, 2018) – The East Tennessee State University football team concluded its 2018 National Signing Day by holding a press conference to announce the Buccaneers’ 24-man class on Wednesday evening inside the Ramsey Tower at William B. Greene, Jr. Stadium.

“I am really pleased with the signing class as a whole,” said Sanders. “This is a group that appears to fill a lot of needs. This class features players with great speed and athleticism – some who have great size. We are bringing in guys who can help us at critical positions, which will create competition. It will be a group that ETSU fans will enjoy watching over the next four years and help us achieve the goals that we are all here to work toward.”

Of the 24 signees, nine are from Tennessee, seven via Georgia, three from Alabama, and one each from Connecticut, Florida, Mississippi, Ohio Pennsylvania.

In addition, 13 are multi-sport athletes, while the positional breakdown consists of: four defensive linemen, three defensive backs, three linebackers, three athletes, three offensive linemen, two quarterbacks, two wide receivers, two specialists, one running back and one tight end.
