Johnson City, Tenn. -- The East Tennessee State mens basketball team will host VMI in the Bucs final home game of the 2000-01 season at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21 in Memorial Center.

If the Bucs defeat the Keydets, ETSU will clinch the Southern Conference North Division Championship. It would be ETSUs first North Division title and puts them in position for their first SoCon Championship since the 1991-92 season.

The game will also be the final home game for ETSUs three seniors -- Renaldo Johnson, D.J. McDuffie and Adrian Meeks:

Johnson has played the last two seasons in Johnson City after beginning his collegiate career at Carl Albert State Community College. He has played in 49 career games and started all 25 games so far this season. The Montgomery, Ala. native leads the team and ranks third in the Southern Conference in field goal percentage (59.2). He leads the team in rebounding (6.2/game) and ranks second on the team in scoring (8.8/game).

McDuffie has played in 109 career games at ETSU. He leads the current squad with 947 career points and has averaged 8.7 points/game as a Buccaneer. The versatile guard, ranks second on the team with 55 assists this season. The Greensboro, N.C. native ranks third on the team in scoring (8.5 points/game) and minutes played (23.8/game).

Meeks has grabbed 611 rebounds in 107 career games. He currently ranks ninth on ETSUs all-time rebounding list. Meeks ranks second on the team this season with 5.5 rebounds/game. The power forward is averaging 8.0 points/game and 5.5 rebounds/game. The Lexington, Miss. native recorded a double-double (11 points, 11 rebounds) in the Bucs last game, a 64-51 win against Davidson (Feb. 17).

ETSU is 10-2 at home this season and has won each of its last nine contests in the Mini-Dome.
