JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- Dimeco Childress scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds as East Tennessee defeated Western Carolina 98-47 Saturday.

East Tennessee (13-8, 8-2 Southern Conference) dominated Western Carolina (4-19, 2-8) from the start, jumping out to a 32-6 lead in the first eight minutes.

The run was capped with a dunk by Renaldo Johnson, who had 15 points for the game. Decoster scored all three of his 3-pointers during the run.

The win was East Tennessee's largest conference victory ever.

The Buccaneers' got 47 points off turnovers, compared to six for the Catamounts. East Tennessee also received 46 points from the bench, while Western Carolina had only eight.

Ryan Carson scored 14 points for the Buccaneers. D.J. McDuffie had 11, and Adrian Meeks added 10.

Rans Brenpong was the only double-digit scorer for the Catamounts with 10 points.
